I don't often get a chance to justify the use of my fish-eye lens, but with a sky this big, I had no other choice but to use it. This is Ardmore, Oklahoma, my hometown. Of course I loved trains growing up, and still do. As a boy, standing right here, or on my grandparent's farm, whenever we heard the train coming, my friends and I would run up near tracks, and wave at the conductor to blow his horn. And when he did, Oh man, that was something! it always made us jump up and down with joy. And if you back in the background of this photograph, you'll see the tallest structure in town, the feed mill.
“The sky is an infinite movie to me. I never get tired of looking at what’s happening up there.” – K. D. Lang
